Raven is a funny dog. She’s not particularly picky about what she’ll eat but she rarely eats in front of anyone. Ever since we’ve had her, she waits for us to leave the room to start eating her food but when it comes to these treats, she’ll delicately take them and snack on them while we’re watching. Apparently, they’re that good. Plus, they’re easy and only require five ingredients which we all had in stock. Happy dog ever since!

1 cup pumpkin puree
2 eggs
1 cup dry roasted peanuts
2 cups whole wheat flour (all-purpose white flour will work, too)

Preheat the oven to 350F and spray a 9×13 pan with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. In a food processor, blend the peanuts until a smooth, homemade peanut butter (if using storebought peanut butter, it must be natural and have no artificial sugars, which are toxic to dogs). In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, eggs, pumpkin, and flour. Stir until well-combined. Dust an area with flour and roll out dough until a quarter-inch thick. Cut into shapes and place on baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 40 minutes (the longer they’re baked, the crunchier they are). When baked, remove to a cooling rack. Store in an airtight container for up to a month in the fridge or six months in a freezer.
