It goes without saying that summer always goes by too fast. Thankfully, this summer was a lot more fun than our last one with moving and all, and we were able to cram in a whole lot of fun into the short time the kids were out of school. Even though the girls were ready to get back to school (especially Kate!), I can honestly say I was sad to see them go–overall, we had a really enjoyable time together and accomplished most of the stuff we set out to do on the list we set up when our last year’s school ended. So, here was our summer in review…
- Go swimming
- Go canoeing

| We saw Jupiter, Venus, and twin stars but everyone’s favorite was Saturn! |
- Have cooking lessons
- Have riding lessons

| I wish we could have been more consistent with riding lessons but rain and heat and vacations put a stop on a lot of summer. We did fit in a few. Plus, everyone got some training in on the penny pony at the grocery store. I literally made them practice their two-point while the horse galloped. Eyes up, Claire! |

- Eat lunch with Jack

| Followed the recipe to the letter…and it ended up being more like a buttery caramel. Oh, well! Ate it anyway! |

- Do a fun run together

While it would have been amazing to cross everything off our list, there just wasn’t enough time/money/or I forgot at the end of the day. So, for the stuff we didn’t get done, we’ll just add it to our autumn fun list, I guess!
