Today is my birthday. And an important one at that. Now I’m 29. It’s strange to think that this decade is quickly drawing to a close. Oh, well! I feel pretty accomplished already. In 28 short years, I’ve been a wife for nearly six years, a mother to three adorable, rascally girls, a college graduate in (what else?) animal science, biology option. I’ve seen my husband through a degree in aerospace engineering and three internships, both while working full time and eventually transitioning to being a stay-at-home mother. I’ve lived in a handful of places–Lincoln, NE, Jewell and Cedar Rapids, IA, Waco, TX, Montreal, QC and soon Indianapolis, IN–and have met wonderful friends at each location. I’m a homeowner and have had a million experiences fixing up our century old farmstead while enjoying watching my very own horses out my window. I could go on and on about how wonderful life has been so far but I feel like I’m bragging. Besides, there are still so many things I hope to experience during this mortal sojourn, in the coming year and the many beyond that.
