This is a delicious recipe if you’re craving something chewy, sweet and buttery. And on the plus side, if you happen to eat the entire pan, it only makes one 9×9 pan instead of an entire 13×9 so you don’t have to feel as guilty.
Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
1/2 cup butterscotch chips (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350F. Beat together butter, sugar and egg.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the butter mixture. Stir in the vanilla and pecans and butterscotch chips, if desired.
Pour into a well-greased 9×9 pan (an 8×8 will work as well if baking time is adjusted accordingly) and spread evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden and the center is firm. Let cool before slicing.
Enjoy!
