I’ve missed having this memorable treat for the last few years so this holiday, I decided the time was right. It’s a great combination of slightly salty and sweet with lots of crunch. Plus, it’s a delicious addition to any party.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
11 oz pretzels OR popcorn (but really, let’s be realistic–you can use a combination of both!)
9 to 10 oz box of mini peanut butter filled crackers
1 cup dry roasted peanuts
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
10 oz M&Ms
18 1/2 oz bag candy corn
Combine pretzels and/or popcorn, crackers and peanuts. In large saucepan, mix sugar, butter and corn syrup. Boil over medium heat for five minutes. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and soda–pour over pretzel mix. Stir well. Bake at 250F for 45 minutes, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes (don’t worry if it’s a little chewy when fresh out of the oven–it will crisp up when it cools). Break apart while warm, add M&Ms and candy corn.
