Standing in front of Cuatrocienegas.
This past week, Jack had a back-to-back work trip. First, he went to Idaho where his oldest sister and her family lives (on her birthday–what are the odds?!), then down to Mexico in the same area he served his mission (what are the odds?!). Most people ask if I’m envious that he gets to go on trips but when I think about it, we really had the same adventure.
Here’s what he did and what we did:
He visited some of nature’s beauties…

…and Kate painted some of her own.
He saw some incredible waterfalls…

…and Henry enjoyed a different sort of waterfall.

Jack ate some delicious food, like cheese and meat platters…

…and fancy shark dishes…

He ate Baked Alaskan…
(which I’m now going to have to try to recreate…)

…and we had popsicles.

He went exploring in Yellowstone…

…and we weeded the garden (which is just as wild).

He cooled off in Cuatrocienegas…

…and we swam in the pool.

Sorry, kids. No water park this time.
Jack visited some longtime friends…

…and we visited some of our favorite neighbors.

See? We basically had the same week.
But, we’re super happy he’s back!
