C’mon.  You know you couldn’t turn away adorable faces like these.

Late Sunday evening, the doorbell rung.  It was our neighbor ready to hand over three adorable chicks that I’d said I’d be interested in then promptly forgot about.  Lucky for me, Jack just shook his head (even though I’d failed to mention their pending arrival) and we still had some bedding and equipment from last year’s chicks.  I sure hope these cuties are hens or I seriously intend on putting them to good use.  And by good use, I mean we’ll probably eat them if they don’t lay eggs.  Better than raising fox food.
