I know not everyone would be thrilled to have a homemade mop solution in their arsenal but I’m always glad I do when I start walking out of my socks because the floors have gotten so sticky (CONFESSION: I HATE MOPPING).  All you need is a gallon of warm water, one cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol (to help it dry quickly and without streaks) and a teaspoon of dishwashing soap to give it a little extra scrubbing power.  I use this solution on our vinyl and tile floors and couldn’t be happier.  Well, as happy as possible while mopping.

***If  you don’t like the smell of straight vinegar, consider
adding a bit of your favorite essential oils to mask it.***
And does it work?
