I got my first pair of cleaning gloves when I was four.  It was so exciting that my mother deemed me old enough to help clean the bathroom.  Twenty years later, I was practically laughed out of a women’s literature and history class for admitting that fact.  Still, I think it’s important that kids learn how to help and that they do it early, even if it’s only turning on the hose and filling up the horse trough.

Thank you Claire, you big helper.
