On the way to some errands, the girls and I spotted a painted turtle on the road, dangerously close to being run over.  I pulled over, grabbed him by the shell and moved him off the road but still in the warmth of the sun.

He was anything but grateful.

But, it’s still important to help, even in the face of ingratitude.
