This tea is a great pre-or-post holiday dinner drink to sip while digesting or enjoy it on an evening to warm up on a cold winter’s night.  If serving at a gathering, keep it hot in a crock pot.  It’s caffeine free and made from herbs, fruit juices and spices that guests of all ages will savor.

Ingredients:

1/12 cup sugar
2 teaspoons whole cloves
6 sticks cinnamon, broken
3 quarts (5 teabags) caffeine-free fresh tea, such as Mandarin Orange Spice
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
3/4 cup lemon juice

Boil the sugar with one cup of water for three minutes.  Add the cloves and cinnamon sticks.  Let stand overnight.  Add the tea, orange, pineapple and lemon juice and heat thoroughly before serving.
