Moonlight Dancer (usually just called “Dancer”) joined our herd the day after Stoney arrived at our farm. Needing a companion, we headed to the local auction and bought the seal brown quarter horse mare for $100. She was a steal! She may not be particularly flashy but she has the calmest, friendliest disposition of any horse I’ve known.
She’ll be four this coming spring–time to start her training! I worked on lunging and riding her a handful of times last fall but she’s ready for some serious riding. With the gait and demeanor she has, she has the potential to make a great children’s horse or possibly an eventer. Whatever she becomes, we enjoy having her around and look forward to many years of memories with her!
